Our little group arrives. Gramma helps Carrie acclimate.
'Oh, the baby!', or 'Oh, the female magnet!'
Mom smiles. Michaela smiles. Lily looks to Gramma for directions in this production. (Note that Michaela is a delicate Fairy Princess.)
Our little nature girls insist on going outside. Here they are collecting acorns, which they will throw into the woods. What would you do with them?
Remember that delicate Fairy Princess?
A moment of youthful reflection on how good it is to be a kid, especially when there is a pile of leaves and an indulgent Grampa who will help you pick the litter off your fairy gown.

Your girls are gorgeous! Do you have all grand-DAUGHTERS? We have a generational majority in our family. One generation is primarily boys, the next girls and so on. My kids' generation in our family is primarily girls 8 girls and 2 boys.
Oh and of COURSE you throw the acorns into the forest. Duh :).
Generational majority...fascinating term. We actually have the same ratio as you: four granddaughters and one grandson. Isn't that interesting.
Shannon, our daughter, has a boy and a girl. Alex, our son, has three girls, which means that my and Alex's branch of our family name have reached an end. Thankfully, it doesn't mean much now.
Really, it is good that the old nonsense of carrying on the family name is becoming pointless. It is a remnant of a first-born hierarchy of inheritance, with the family castle and fiefdom and all.
Who knows? The girls may wed at a time when it is fashionable to take the woman's last name.
Hmm. Guess that reveals that I'm a little interested in the old family name after all.
Tif,keep reading...We will be seeing our daughter soon, as she lives hundreds of miles from us, and I plan on lots of pictures of her two little ones. Can't wait to see them! Grandma Michele
Generational majority - yeah, I drive my husband crazy with invented phrases. The best part is when I use a phrase incorrectly, but it should make sense. One time I said that I was "releasing my stronghold" to show that I was getting angry, and we started laughing since it sounded good but made no sense. You'll see that often in my comments, Don :).
Michele, I love this blog, so I will continue to read the delightful stories and info your family shares.
