I was taking out clean laundry from my dryer last week, AFTER I had been with my granddaughters. I had a bad 1 1/2 seconds when I saw this in the dryer.
Upon closer inspection, which meant I had to get close and personal, I realized 1) it couldn't possibly be alive, intact, after a cycle in the dryer and 2) It didn't look real... hmmmmm.
When I flipped it over and....UGH....picked it up, I remembered how it ended up in my laundry, in my dryer. Last Tuesday I watched all 3 granddaughters, which includes my 3 month old, teething, baby granddaughter. That could be another entry, but teething goes on for awhile. Those entries can wait, unfortunately for Lily!
At one point in the evening, Kayla and Carrie and I were cleaning up things on the floor of their bedroom. The "things" included their vast collection of all toy things that wiggle, jump, slither, and crawl. I did remember that they playfully put this specimen in my shirt pocket. And I forgot it was there.
They will get it back this week, no harm to the spider. Grandma has a few more white hairs....but that's OK.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that be startled by fake bugs! I can't tell you how many times I have gone into the basement and found fake spiders, centipedes, snakes, mice, you name it! At least the one you found was orange...a little less realistic for our area. Try a small black one falling out of the washing machine at your feet!
