"How about BLTs for supper?" Michele asked over the phone.
Bacon-lettuce-tomato sandwiches with our homegrown tomatoes? That sounded pretty darn good to me, and I told her so, then asked, "Do you want me to pick up some good bread?"

She did. So I did. Instead of ciabatta, or sour dough, or baguette, or rye, or 24 whole grain bread, I bought tandoori naan. It is a flat bread, and it made for glorious BLTs.
You make this flatbread's flavor even better by sprinkling it with a little water and toasting it in a hot frying pan. You kick the flavor up again by buttering the warmed bread before assembling the sandwiches.
I liked the BLT's so much that I cooked an omelette for lunch the next day, threw in a few slices of bacon, added a little green salsa, then folded it all in toasted tandoori naan. Mmm. Mmm.
The tandoori naan baker has some interesting recipes. Enjoy.
